Coaching is a set of methods of personal development, which is primarily intended for individuals in managerial positions, but they can be successfully implemented with the whole team. The coach helps the client to orient better in his actual working reality. The main input of the coaching process is to find a clear definition of an objective which the client wants to achieve. The joint search for appropriate ways to reach this goal follows, in the form of a structured interview, based on asking questions. Self-confidence, assertiveness and self-esteem of the client are often increased during coaching; it helps him make better choices and accept greater responsibility. The output is the collective evaluation of changes in thinking.
The basis for success is mutual confidence between the coach and coached, which gives the client the courage so he can move forward in those areas where he himself feels an urgent need to change.
Coaching does not focus on errors that occurred, but the opportunities which are to come.
