On the 3rd December 2010 our company was awarded accreditation by the Ministry of Health to implement a training program of the certified course “DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION of NON-MEDICAL HEALTH CARE WORKERS”.
An accredited educational program is determined for the non-medical staff: general nurse, midwife, occupational therapist, optometrist, orthoptist, orthotic-prosthetic, medical laboratory technician, medical-social worker, paramedic, physical therapist, dental technician, radiology assistant, nutritionist, dental hygienist, pharmaceutical assistant.
The purpose of the accredited program is to carry out training of selected non-medical health services’ workers in their skills with focus on communication skills, medical healthcare ethics, stress and time management in order to improve the necessary knowledge.
The topic of leadership will be included. Participants will manage communication in conflict and difficult situations better, manage the stress during the performance of their job, they will deepen their knowledge of healthcare ethics and they will be able recognize different types of behaviour of patients and colleagues through this program. They will learn how to use the acquired knowledge and pass it to their colleagues in the area of leadership or teamwork.
Health care will be more efficient and the percentage of communication noise between a patient and a medic or his family will be reduced; transfer of information will be accelerated; the ethics of health workers will improve; teamwork will improve and their performance will be enhanced. Graduates will have a direct influence on their colleagues, on which they will pass on part of their knowledge in the form of practical behaviour at the workplace.
The total length of training activities is 136 hours + 9 hours for the final exam. Educational activities consist of theoretical and practical parts. Final tests are also included. Length of study: They are about one-day and two-day workshops which are broken down within the span of12 months of the year.
Successful graduates will receive 82 credits and a Certificate of completion for a certified course.
